Much Birch Community Hall is situated in the heart of the rural Herefordshire community of Much Birch, next to the church and GP Surgery.
The main building was opened in 1979 and over recent years has been extended to significantly improve and update the facilities on offer.
The hall was built by Much Birch Parochial Church Council and is run by a management committee of volunteers including representatives of regular hall users.
The hall is available for private hire as well as being used for various regular community activities. For more information about regular events in the hall please click here.
A covered entrance canopy is accessed via a step to the left and an accessible ramp to the right. Double doors lead into the entrance lobby.
The large, modern kitchen is fitted with electrically operated serving hatches to both the main hall and the entrance lobby. Users can have access to a fridge/freezer, wall kettle, double oven, 5-ring hob, microwave, cutlery/crockery for up to 100, and plenty of work surface space. The kitchen is accessed via the main hall and the rear lobby.
The spacious entrance lobby leads directly into the main hall. It also has access to the Maple Room and the toilet corridor, leading to the back lobby with access to the kitchen, stairs and garden. Wifi is available throughout the premises.
Female toilets with 3 cubicles and male toilets with 2 cubicles and 2 urinals.
The main hall measures approximately 12m x 8m, laid with a maple floor. The main hall accommodates 10 large tables, 6 small tables and 60 chairs (40 further chairs available in the Arthur Harris Room). The hall has AV equipment installed including a large screen, projector and sound system (please contact for further info).
The accessible toilet also houses nappy changing facilities.
The Arthur Harris meeting room also houses the Resource Centre (click here for more info). 2 large tables, an additional 40 chairs and moveable staging for the main hall are available in this room. For staging use please enquire with the booking secretary.
The Cedar Room is another meeting room on the first floor with tables and chairs available.
The Maple Room is a small meeting room on the ground floor with a table and 6 chairs.
The rear garden can be accessed on either side of the building, through the double fire exit in the main hall and through the exit in the rear lobby. It also has ramped access from both doors.
The Birch Room is on the first floor. Tables and chairs are also available in this room.
The car park contains 12 marked parking spaces including 1 accessible space. There are also bicycle storage racks to the side of the hall for community use.
